GETI is pleased to announce that we will exhibit its activities over the past year, as well as feature its plans for 2006, at the SEMICON Japan MEMS/NEMS pavilion. It will also host leading research groups from the US, Europe and Asia.
SEMICON Japan is the world's largest trade show for semiconductor equipment and materials, and over 1,600 firms will exhibit their latest technology and products in 4,200 booths. Located in the SEMICON Japan Innovation Hall, the MEMS/NEMS pavilion is dedicated to companies, universities and organizations that lead in research, development, and commercialization of the emerging MEMS and Nanotechnology.
GETI's 2005 activities included Micro/Nanotech Missions to Europe and China, the support of numerous technical conferences and workshops, such as the "International Workshop on Micro/Nanotechnology for Aerospace Applications", invited talks, and a wide variety of custom research projects for government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and investment firms.
As part of its Industrial Liaison Program, GETI will host several government and university research groups that are very active in R&D cooperation with large companies at home and abroad and are prolific in technology transfer critical to building a strong cadre of competitive start-up companies in their respective regions.
