GETI will host the BSAC Tokyo Symposium 2006 on December 5. This Symposium will be conducted primarily by senior research faculty of the Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center at UC Berkeley and UC Davis. This event marks the official joining to UC Berkeley and BSAC of Prof. Clark T.-C. Nguyen and will represent the first official BSAC event for Prof. Nguyen.
The purpose of this Symposium is to describe progress in important research areas of BSAC for members and prospective member organizations. Although BSAC conducts annual Japan member meetings, the last such open BSAC Symposium in Japan was in Kyoto in December 2004. This years Symposium is supported by attendee registration fees and a generous donation from Suss MicroTec, a BSAC Member company. GETI has hosted BSAC Symposium and Japan member meetings since 2003.
